Empower New Energy is proud to announce the commencement of its third solar investment in Egypt. The 498 KWp solar rooftop plant is installed for Cairo Metals – a leading Egyptian aluminium manufacturer that supplies high quality products for construction and housing market across Africa and the Middle East. This new plant will generate more than 850 000 KWh of green electricity annually. During its 25-year contract period, the project will enable the client to cut 11 250 tonnes of CO2 emissions, while reducing energy costs, improving profitability and creating new jobs. Empower´s local partner – Gree Solar plans to build and connect the installation in less than 6 weeks.
