Title: Market Research Manager

Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer

Location: Field (20%) and Office (80%) Kigali, Rwanda

Role Purpose

The Market Research Manager will design research methods and processes. The Market Research Manager will support NGUs Market Researchers as well as making sure all the market metrics are updated.

About the role

  • Manage the research processes at Bboxx
  • Review and keep updated about the best in class research method
  • Establish the process, methods to carry out pilot, focus groups and other type of research (both qualitative and quantitative)
  • Lead NGUs Market Researchers to assess positioning
  • Create training programs for local teams
  • Design and approve designs of internal research projects
  • Support Market Researchers in analysing data
  • Support product marketing managers
  • Create new metrics to identify market positioning
  • Manage the competition landscape analysis
  • Design and manage NPS, customer education and brand attributes
  • Carry out any other duties that are within the scope and purpose of the job.

About you

  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Environmental Science, or any other related field
  • Four years of experience in conducting research
  • Must be fluent in English and French
  • Good analytical and qualitative research skills
  • Good IT skills with the ability to learn new software
  • Be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, PowerBI and statistics software
  • Proven track record of good implementation
  • Able to work full-time with regular visit in the field
  • Familiarity with Solar Home Systems and the wider solar energy field would be an added advantage
