Aptech Africa Donates Solar Water Heating System to School in Sierra Leone

Aptech Africa Sierra Leone, a member of Renewable Energy Association SL, donated a Solar Water Heater system to the Freetown Secondary School for Girls Boarding Home. 

The Freetown Secondary School for Girls also known as FSSG and is a secondary school that was established in 1926 in Freetown Sierra Leone.

As part of its corporate social responsibility program, the Country Director of Aptech Africa SL, Awet Afewerki,  and his team donated a set of solar water heater to the Freetown Secondary School for Girls(FSSG) Boarding Home on Thursday 11th November 2021,. The donation was done at the boarding home at Hannah Benka-Coker Memorial hall, off Zonta By-Pass Road, Freetown. 

Present at the donation presentation was: The President of REASL, Madame Leah Suma, Miss Golda Williams (REASL Administrator), Mrs Awoonor-Renner(Chairman board of trustee), and Dr Olabisi Claudius Cole (Member of the boarding home management committee). 

In his speech Awet Afewerki noted that the solar water heater will be installed in the kitchen to help with their meal preparation. In her remarks, Mrs Awoonor-Renner thanked the director of Aptech Africa and also stated the water heater with benefit at least 50 student and workers in boarding home.
